4G industrial routers are mainly used in industrial, electric power, environmental protection, smart city and other environments, and can be used in station vending machines, bank numbering machines, car doors, community express boxes, etc. Obviously, 4G industrial routers are widely used in public areas or factory production lines. How is it different from a normal home router?

Similarities: The similarity is that two routers have routing functions. All have WAN port, LAN port, 4G signal, SIM card slot. 4G charging is the reflection of the SIM card network 4G signal, and then sends the wifi signal through the network, and then realizes the networking of other devices through the wifi network. Technically, this line can be automatically selected and set according to the signal and send the signal in sequence.

Difference: The difference between them is the difference of the application environment. Generally, routers are mainly used in the office environment of home or small business, and the working environment is relatively stable. 4G industrial routers can be applied in relatively harsh environments, such as underground, dams, oil fields or coasts. Therefore, it must have power protection, anti-static, lightning protection and other hardware protection, and have a 24-hour non-stop watchdog.

If the transmitted data is of a very commercial nature, encrypted transmission is required, which is also supported by 4G industrial routers. Or use VPN/APN virtual private network to transmit data, so that the security of transmission is much higher than that of general routers.

Obviously, the key difference between 4G routers and general home routers is their application environment.
